Messy Church!

Messy Church is a different form of worship which meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Although Messy Church is aimed at families and young people, it is open to everyone and anyone who wishes to join us in an alternative informal form of worship. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 4pm to 6pm, but it doesn’t matter if you arrive late or have to leave early. Each month the Celebration (Worship) and the activities are based on a theme, which is usually biblical.

We usually start with everybody playing a very noisy game and then Sue leads us into a time of celebration where we learn about the subject for that day, have a short prayer and also sing (usually with actions). We then go off and do the various activities which can range from Art & Crafts, making something to eat, or some sort of a game. At approx. 5:30pm we all sit down together to eat a meal or sandwiches, but there is always cake involved.
